BBC Two has commissioned London based Oxford Scientific Films (OSF) to make Carol Klein’s Plant Odysseys (4 x 30’) in a co-production with Korea’s Paan Media.
In this pioneering four part series TV gardener Carol Klein explores the botanical history of four of our favourite garden plants: the rose, the tulip, the iris and the water lily. She traces each plant’s epic journey through time, revealing how evolution and mankind have conspired to create unique characteristics.
Carol Klein’s Plant Odysseys is scheduled for transmission on BBC Two in Spring 2015.

The films were ordered by Alison Kirkham, Head of Commissioning, Factual Features & Formats. The Series Director was Jonathan Barker and the Executive Producer for OSF is Caroline Hawkins and KC Lee for PAAN. The directors are Jonathan Barker and Barny Revill and the Edit Producer is Oliver Page for OSF.
